Game Over (Ita) - Heavy Damage

Band: Game Over
Title: Heavy Damage
Nationality: Italian
Year: 2009
Production : Self-produced

From Ferrara arrive Game Over , quartet of guys who grew up on bread and thrash (80, then the stark) and for them, as may be heard by 'EP Heavy Damage, time seems to stand still. Their music is in fact a concentrated nostalgic, without any concessions whatsoever to panther and the like. Since the group's moniker
you can guess the reference style, bursting with the eye of course to and Nuclear Assault Overkill the first, the rhythm, as the genre demands tend to be incessant, insistent drums and the voice singer-bassist is running enough, with basic word we're good.
let him now more specifically with regard to the pieces, 5 rush of pure power metal (plus a small piece of 28 / 2) which are fairly pleasant listen, even reaching the goal of entering into the head of the listener through a fairly catchy and a series of repetitions that "reinforce the concept, imagine that live within these four guys play their terrible figure. It starts with
Dawn of the Dead, clean and simple opener, Teutonic-style, impossible not to be reminded Exumer or SDI, as it is impossible not to hum after it heard. Innocent Victims continues to run as fast as a train, do not move an inch from the previous Heavy Damage part by slowing the pace, giving the opportunity to recover from two previous trips, the piece remains so more content, but without exploding tire and only in the final. After the brief interlude NFH switch to Addiction Science, weak piece of the lot, it can not involve much. The final Tupa Tupa or Die the contrary is without doubt the best episode of Ep, the most compelling and with a refrain of the chorus, which gives the right to face the charge again thrash boost ahead soon after. In conclusion, this
Heavy Damage is certainly a good product with which these Game Over starting to get noticed, there are limits, this is undeniable, and I refer particularly to the rigid structure of the songwriting and predictably, in Indeed at times the feeling of deja-vu is palpable, it lacks the spark of originality that would let them jump in quality, but it is also true that there is room for improvement. The solos are another potential improvements, we could do more.
That said, keep an eye on this band, all that remains is to wait a full channel in which a new maturity Music, this EP is a good promise, it is their responsibility to remain strong.
A final note to the cover, drawn by hand, and grezzissima damn old-style, and fit for purpose!
